The DX62R-7 and DX63-7 were designed for easier and more comfortable use.
Develon recently introduced two mini excavators for sale in the United States and Canada. Models DX62R-7 and DX63-7 have updated designs and replace previous versions. Excavator Arm For Construction
“The new DX62R-7 and DX63-7 mini excavators have been updated inside and out from their predecessors,” says Jacob Sherman, Develon product and dealer marketing manager. “We’re pleased to be expanding our lineup of Develon-7 Series mini excavators and designing them with more standard premium features, including telematics, high-performance air conditioning, and much more.”
The new mini excavators are designed with a width-protected swing frame, allowing operators to get closer to their work, including being flush against a structure or wall when offset digging. The excavators’ swing casting and cylinders remain within the track width at full left-swing, making it less likely that operators will damage these components when working in tight areas.
The DX62R-7 has a reduced tail swing design, extending just a few inches beyond the width of the excavator tracks, while the DX63-7 has a conventional tail swing. Both can be ordered with optional long-arm configurations.
Other mechanical improvements include auto downshift when under load, auto idle when functions are not used for a short period of time, and an optional steel track undercarriage option.
A new hydraulic quick-coupler design allows for easier and faster attachment changes. The excavators offer one-way/two-way hydraulic flow through a joystick, not by the pedal. They also come standard with a thumb-ready arm.
Develon offers a variety of attachments, including a heavy-duty bucket, ditch-cleaning bucket, thumb, augers, hydraulic breakers, plate compactors, grapples, rippers, and flail mowers.
The DX62R-7 and DX63-7 mini excavators come standard with a heating and air conditioning system, as well as Bluetooth audio. Hydraulic functions and boom swing are controlled by thumb switches on the right and left joysticks, rather than by foot pedals. A full-glass door and LED lamps provide improved visibility, while an optional rear-view camera provides increased visibility behind the excavator.
Daily and critical maintenance is eased with access to filters and oil service points, along with a centralized boom swing cylinder greasing. A battery disconnect completely disables the battery connection, extending battery life during storage and providing an added measure of security on the job site.
The Develon Fleet Management telematics system is standard, allowing for remote monitoring and maintenance information from a mobile app and website.
The DX62-R and DX63-7 will be available at dealerships nationwide in October.
