Jung Ho-yeon dazzled at the SAG Awards, not just with her stellar win but in her gorgeous, intricate Louis Vuitton gown as well. Since she burst onto the screen with her portrayal of North Korean defector Kang Sae-byeok in Netflix’s Squid Game, you could say Jung's rise to fame has been phenomenal.

Jung was walking the runway as a model for the likes of Louis Vuitton (LV), Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu and Brandon Maxwell before she plunged into acting. Lace Trim Embroidered

It seems that fashion has come full circle for her with Nicolas Ghesquière, LV's artistic director for women's collection, personally dressing her at this year's SAG Awards.

Jung's custom black spaghetti dress was hand-embroidered with crystals and silver beads on a piece of jacquard silk fabric. If you look closer, you'll also notice the geometric embroidery starting from the top part of the dress, flowing down to the bottom. It took at least 210 hours to assemble this dress in Vuitton's studio, with a further 110 hours needed to individually place and hand-embroider the look.

If you ask us, the most beautiful part of Jung's fashion-forward look would be the way she wore her hair in braids, as a tribute to her heritage. The matching hair detail was actually inspired by daenggi hair ribbon, a piece of hair accessory used in South Korean tradition for years. Ghesquière matched the hair ribbon material to the jacquard silk fabric, thus completing Jung's winning look of the night.

Hairstylist Jenny Cho was responsible for Jung's hairstyle, "It was a very special 2022 SAG Awards day to have been a part of.” Cho used hair products from Hair Rituel by Sisley-Paris to jazz up her look.
