Hobart has announced that its FabCO Triple 7 gas-shielded flux-cored wire now meets the requirements for an AWS E71T-9 C/M H8 classification, in addition to the AWS E71T-1 C/M H8 classification the wire previously held.

The T-9 designation provides greater impact strengths at low temperatures—20 ft.-lbs. at -20 degrees F—for critical jobs in manufacturing, construction, fabrication, ship, railcar, and structural steel. Electrode Rod

The wire can be used for welding with mixed gases (75% to 85% argon/CO2 balance), as well as straight CO2.
